Bonnybridge residents face more waste and recycling cuts


FURTHER cutbacks to bin collections are set to hit Bonnybridge residents in the new year.

Villagers recently voiced their upset at Falkirk Council’s decision to change green and brown bin uplift to every four weeks.

Now budget proposals for 2017-18 could see a charge of £25 implemented for a fortnightly brown bin collection service and an increased charge from £15 to £30 for special uplifts. Continue reading

Bonnybridge residents angered by bin cuts


CUTBACKS to wheelie bin collections have been slammed by Bonnybridge residents.

The changes to green and brown bin uplift mean that some do not know when their rubbish will be picked up.

Larbert church merger put on hold following disagreement


Larbert Old Parish Church

A MERGER between two churches has been postponed after disagreements between the two participants.

Larbert Old and Larbert West parish churches were expected to join congregations with their first service together to take place on August 7.

The deal would have meant the closure of Larbert Old’s historic building, after independent arbiters decided worship would be held at Larbert West on Main Street. Continue reading
